Corvette Tank Sheet / Tank Sticker

The corvette tank sheet/corvette order copy is factory document that was generated for the factory assembly line, these were started in 1967 and into 1972. A form which would have dealer code and zone, list of options to be installed on car would show type and horsepower of the motor, type of transmission, rear axle ratio would be shown. It would have some hand written numbers on it which would be a relationship to the serial number. Also it would have several groups of typed numbers that correspondingly show up on window sticker and shopper copy, it also had ordering dates as well as date vehicle was produced.

This paper was glued to the top of the gas tank for the assembly line workers to check and verified car was getting proper components/options installed….understand the chassis was coming down the line and the body was lowered later on the assembly line therefore the order copy was in plain sight rolling down the assembly line to the workers in plain sight glued to the top of gas tank, the tank/corvette order copy is very sought after document being it acts as a verifying document of what that particular corvette was born with for options and drive train.
